Others have had trouble with the refurbished Garmin Nuvi, but ours has been perfect. We took a trip down the east coast through NYC, Baltimore, MD etc. and directions were right on. It is easy to use and updates quickly. So the price was right for us and we got a good product.

I work in law enforcement and the Captain of our Detective division purchased this product for his team. I then purchased one for a vactaion I was taken and love it. I previously owned a Garmin but much perfer this one. Really enjoy the wide screen view and the fact that on main roadways it is very accurate in providing the posted speed limit. Would definitely recomnmend this product.

I will never buy a factory refurbish GPS again. The first one quit working after 16 days. Amazon.com responded excellently and delivered another factory refurbish unit within 2 days. The second one received lasted a day and a half and quit working. I need the GPS for work, and it has to be reliable and work as illustrated. It did not. I had to return the second one and request a full refund so that I can purchase a new one and count on its reliability.

I’ve now gone through 2 garmin nuvi’s and I’ll never buy another garmin product again. The first one died within 1st 2 weeks of buying it while moving to a different city. In the middle of the move the screen would freeze up and I’d have to reset the device, and it would last about another 10 minutes before dying again. I returned it to costco and replaced it thinking I may had a defective device and my second garmin lasted 3 months before the touch screen died on me in the middle of a business trip. I was essentially unable to enter any letter besides “J” when trying to enter an address. It’s too bad, because the garmin’s have some great features such as bluetooth, but a lot of good a GPS system is if it keeps crashing on you. I’m always willing to give a company a 2nd try before passing judgement, but in my opinion Garmin is pure junk. My wife has a Magellan that she has been using for >2 years without a single problem, I think I’ll pick up one of their devices.
